About Bethesda Chevy Chase Baseball

BCC Baseball celebrates twenty five years of baseball for all levels of players. The heart and soul of our program is the recreational league where 3,000 classmates and friends play together while parent volunteers manage and coach the teams. We also field highly competitive select and travel teams. Our players reach their highest goals, be it high school, college or professional baseball. BCC Baseball is a non-profit organization. Funds generated by player fees and donations support our program and our community. The league adopts and maintains 22 fields in the County and has invested more than $3,000,000 in school and park fields.  The league also provides scholarships for players who otherwise would be unable to participate.

Along with our 3,000 recreational players, BCC fields 26 in-house select teams competing at a very high level of play. Most of our players have gone on to their high school teams. BCC Baseball has 8 travel teams that compete nationally.  Recent success stories include:

Matt Bowman

Danny Hultzen

(UVA) Former ACC Pitcher of the Year and #2 Overall Draft Pick playing for the Seattle Mariners

LJ Hoes

(UNC) Former player for the Houston Astros now playing in the Baltimore Orioles organization

Sam Mulroy

Jimmy Reed

Hugh Adams

BCC Baseball has impacted the local high school baseball teams significantly. More than 50% of this year's JVs at Walter Johnson, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Whitman and Churchill are grads of BCC baseball programs. BCC hopes to have the same impact for the local high school softball programs. We have partnered with Softball Factory to provide expert training for girls in our softball league.

Recently BCC Baseball acquired Bethesda Big Train Baseball - one of the Premier Summer Collegiate Baseball programs. BCC Baseball's new venture allows BCC to influence local community Baseball from kindergarten to college.  BCC Baseball’s involvement with the Big Train gives us additional resources to support youth baseball fields.

BCC Baseball's goal is to instill the values of sportsmanship, community and volunteerism while developing strong baseball and life skills.
