Travel Programs-Age 9, 10, 11, 12

1. Tryouts will be held in October for winter workouts and spring team. Players may be added for summer and fall teams as needed.

2. A professional coach will be hired to handle this team in the spring and fall with support from the BCC Parent Manager. Summer professional coaching is optional depending on availability and expense.

3.
Focus will be on maximum effort and performance under the pressure of tournament baseball. Recognizing that skill development is and will continue to be important, in the spring this age group will also focus on strategies for winning ballgames such as primary position play, formal pitching rotations, etc. As always, pitching will be emphasized. The Coach will also be encouraged to call on roving instructors such as Andrew Wright for pitching and Keith Gordon for hitting (BCC Baseball professionals). For the spring season, equal playing time is not necessarily assured, but each player who makes a serious commitment will receive substantial playing time. The fall team will bat through the lineup if permitted and playing time will be equalized as much as possible. The roster should not exceed 12 players unless playing time for all players is assured.

4. Schedule: Goal will be to play 25-30 games each season with tournament play in the summer. Practices are normally held once per week.
