About BCC Baseball

Since 1993, BCC Baseball has been the home for baseball  and softball for all levels of players in the greater Washington area. The heart and soul of our program is the recreational league where  classmates and friends play together while parent volunteers manage and coach the teams. We also field highly competitive select and travel teams. Our players reach their highest goals, be it high school, college or professional baseball. BCC Baseball is a non-profit organization. Funds generated by player fees and donations support our program and our community. The league adopts and maintains 15 fields in the County and has invested more than $3,000,000 in school and park fields.  The league also provides scholarships for players who otherwise would be unable to participate.

Along with our recreational players, BCC fields 20 in-house select teams competing at a very high level of play. Most of our players have gone on to their high school teams. BCC Baseball has 9 travel baseball teams and 3 travel softball that compete nationally.

Recent success stories include:

  • Matt Bowman - (Princeton & Big Train); pitching in the Major Leagues with the Cincinnati Reds

  • Danny Hultzen - (UVA) Former ACC Pitcher of the Year and #2 Overall Draft Pick playing for the Chicago Cubs

  • LJ Hoes - (UNC) Former player for the Houston Astros now playing in the Baltimore Orioles organization

  • Sam Mulroy - (Princeton) All Ivy First Team Catcher

  • Jimmy Reed - (Maryland) pitching in the St. Louis Cardinals organization

  • Hugh Adams - (Florida Atlantic) Sunbelt Conference First Team Pitcher

BCC Baseball has impacted the local high school baseball teams significantly. More than 50% of this year's JVs at Walter Johnson, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Whitman and Churchill are grads of BCC baseball programs. BCC hopes to have the same impact for the local high school softball programs.

BCC Baseball's goal is to instill the values of sportsmanship, community and volunteerism while developing strong baseball, softball and life skills.

"Never allow the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." - Babe Ruth
